This place suits me perfectly with great amenities like free parking, a bar/lounge area, and lovely in-room coffee facilities. I remember how the staff helped me with my bags during my first stay. Highly recommend trying the pork stroganoff!

Unique room decor, spacious outdoor seating area, resident cat
Noise levels from the pub could be better managed!!! Limited dessert options leave much to be desired. The bathroom layout feels impractical with no space for toiletries, making personal items a hassle!!!

Cozy stay with great food
Just spent 2 nights here and it was pretty chill. Room was nice, but no central heating which made it a bit damp with the weather. The breakfast options were ace, especially with local produce. They’ve got a relaxed vibe in the bar with a solid beer selection, and a good amount of parking too.

Ideal for couples looking for a relaxing escape
The room was generous size and beautifully furnished. Breakfast time was a true delight with exceptional cooked meals that really set us up for the day.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but it was acceptable for the quality we received.

The room was spacious and beautifully furnished, with a lovely comfortable bed and top-notch linen. The en-suite bathroom was modern and had fab amenities. We were impressed with the cleanliness, too—everything felt spotless and well taken care of. Little touches like quality tea and biscuits made it feel extra special. Plus, the quirky decor gave it a unique charm. Best place we've stayed in York, for sure!

Perfect for a cozy getaway!
We stayed for 3 nights in a cozy room that felt more like home. The big wood bed was a real treat, and Denise at breakfast was super friendly, made our mornings. Only annoying thing was a noisy kitchen fan that could be heard in our room. Loved the easy bus access to York!
